Being on the "green" bandwagon is gaining in popularity as people learn more about how to protect our ecosystem. On Saturday March 5th, from 9:30 am to 4:15 pm, at Clarkstown South High School in West Nyack, there will be a full day of free workshops, exhibits, demonstrations, and other eco-friendly activities. Organic food vendors include Pie Lady and Son from Upper Nyack, Nyack Main Essentials, & Food Evolution in Bardonia. There will be a mobile shred truck providing secure shredding and recycling for residents between 10am and 1pm. Activities for the younger set include an eco-mini-camp for those in grades K through 5 and a youth summit for grades 6 through 12. Residents can pre-register for the summit at the town's website (http://www.town.clarkstown.ny.us). The first 100 pre-registered participants to check in at the event will receive an environmental gift bag.
