Spring delayed in Nyack

I saw all kinds of little green stems, leaves, and buds trying to push their way to sunshine all over Nyack last week. I ran out and mulched my perennial flower bed here in Valley Cottage, and awaited the first bulbs of Spring. Well Mother Nature sure played a trick on us, dumping new snow and a stalled cold front into our laps for next few weeks. Seems a “high” over Greenland is pushing all this Arctic air down on us. I think the only answer is to build a wall along the Canadian border…to stem the flow of illegal  freezing air from entering our Country!
