Yonkers Film Festival A Local Version Of Tribeca
Come see for yourself why the Yonkers Film Festival, Yofi Fest, is a great social and industry event for movie makers and movie goers alike!
YoFi Fest is four days of watching and talking about movies. It's a chance to see new works by emerging filmmakers, including features, shorts, documentaries, music videos, animation and student works.
It all starts with the popular Red Carpet Reception on Thursday evening at our Riverfront Library location , featuring food by some of the finest local restaurants accompanied by signature cocktails from master mixologists. There are a few short speeches, then on to our Opening Night Honoree and a Feature Presentation.
Friday evening begins back in the theater with Selected Shorts and a Feature Presentation and finishes nearby for the first of our nightly After-Parties.
Saturday and Sunday will offer free kids movies and workshops from KidsFilmFest and the Jacob Burns Film Center starting at 10AM. Our film screenings and “mini film school” lectures and workshops start at noon at several venues, including two theaters in our Riverfront Library location, and continue all day. Following each day's screenings, it’s off to the After-Parties for a signature cocktail, a snack and some mingling with fellow filmmakers and film fans at nearby restaurants and lounges. And this year there may even be another "camp out" for a Midnight Movie on Saturday night for those who can't get enough!
YoFi Fest is easy to get to, fun to hang out at and not to be missed! See you at the movies!
