Let Hunger Freedom Ring!

Once again, People to People of Rockland in Nanuet has come up with a thoughtful and helpful way to provide food to those in need this July 4th holiday weekend.   They have teamed up the The Journal News to support a massive food collection in which everyone can participate. While you’re out shopping this week, buy some extra staples (suggestions listed below) and drop them off at participating establishments.  People to People will distribute the food to those in need so they will have a more plentiful and memorable Independence Day.

The following foods are suggested.

Low-Sugar Cereal

Granola Bars

Peanut Butter & Jelly

Tuna Fish in water

Pasta & Pasta Sauce

Macaroni & Cheese

100% Juice Boxes

Fruit Cups-No sugar added

Participating establishments and collection times are as follows.

9:00am-12:00pm
DeCicco's Market, New City,
Stop and Shop, Nanuet
ShopRite in West Nyack
And of course, if you make it out to the baseball game this week, you can take your contributions there.
Boulder's Game Collection 5:00pm-10:00pm
Provident Bank Park in Pomona

This is an awesome way to assure that those who are less fortunate have a reason to celebrate this wonderful tradition we Americans hold dear to our hearts!  Let Freedom From Hunger Ring!

Visit People to People’s Facebook Page or their website for more information.

And by the way, your food contributions are welcome year round in the food pantry located at the People to People’s Nanuet office, 121 W Nyack Rd # 1, Nanuet, NY 10954
