Yes, that is right folks....the Lower Hudson Valley Youth Chorus that rehearses in Nyack and is associated with the Helen Hayes Youth Theatre sang the Star Spangled Banner at the Knicks game at Madison Square Garden tonight! Check out the link below for video footage! The kids sang with confidence and are lead by Jared Rosenbloom. They met a couple of players and got an autograph or two. And my 10 year old was thrilled to have met Vanessa Hudgens at the game. Apparently, Vanessa congratulated the singers on a job well done. As I watched the game, I noticed a focus on children. In addition to the LHVYC singing the anthem, there was an exhibition game of 2nd and 3rd grade boys from the Knicks Instructional league at half-time. There was also another group of kids that got to greet the players as they came on the court to warm up and there were 4 children that got to help with the balls all night. It was an exciting evening, the Knicks won! But more importantly, the kids won tonight! What a great treat for all these children to have been able to be front and center at the Garden at a sold-out Knicks game!

This is the best children's chorus I ever heard. They also sang for the Harlem Globe Trotters Game last week at MSG and at Radio City Music Hall for the Christmas Show. Way to go!!!! Jared Rosenblum is the best choral teacher there is. I'm not too proud!!!!!
